Support Offering for New People*:
Half-hour, $50 supportive appointments
For new clients in Missouri and Illinois
I am making space for a small number of new clients, with special provisions for this crisis event. The approach is going to be a little different than BC (Before Covid-19):
Less emphasis (for now) on healing last traumas and more emphasis on providing you support to get through this current one.
Sessions don’t have to be weekly, they can be as frequent or infrequent as you’d like.
Sessions can be a time to do a mindfulness practice, or to vent and talk about what’s happening and how you feel, or to develop practices to stay connected with your body during this time and learn how to let strong feelings and stresses process through the nervous system as they arise so that they don’t build up and break you down, or to gather resources or bounce ideas around. Whatever you need.
(These appointments would not be appropriate for problems related to severe mental illness, addiction, or current, active abuse; I can send lists of resources for those.)
The support and understanding we receive during and immediately following a traumatic event may be the single most important factor determining whether or not severe post-trauma injuries develop.
Let’s get through this together.

*This offering is also available to existing clients
For existing clients, we have moved online to Telehealth (remote/virtual) therapy.
Some insurances have stated they will pay for this, and in some cases "waive cost sharing," which I am told means they're waiving copays and deductibles for this event..
Each individual needs to call their insurance company and check that this applied to their particular plan.
For existing clients who are uninsured, I am committed to continue to provide therapy at a cost they can afford. I will not end therapy for any existing client just because they cannot pay.
