Would you like to learn about the modalities I use in my practice, while working toward your LCSW licensure? Now you can!
I'm super excited to announce that, for the first time, I'm offering clinical supervision for licensure in Illinois! Including:
To supervise with me you don't necessarily have to choose the same modalities I have chosen. However, I am looking to supervise for people who have interest in the general direction, and certainly those who want to work in a trauma-informed and trauma-in-the-body manner. So, if your main interest is cognitive-based modalities this is probably not be the best fit for you. My training includes (but is not limited to):
How to Get Started 1. Email me at [email protected] to request an application packet (after reading what I've written below, of course). I will email it to you. 2. We'll meet remotely (as long as the pandemic is on) for an interview. 3. We'll complete the contracting process. Specifically, I'm offering supervision for MSWs with an active interest in somatic psychotherapy, trauma-and-the-body work that's grounded in polyvagal theory, and who are interested in bringing the social work values and ethics of social justice, cultural competence, and diversity to their practices through decolonizing the therapeutic space. Additionally and importantly, commitment to anti-racism, anti-white supremacy, decolonizing psychotherapy and social work, and commitment to creating a practice that is open, affirming, and embracing of LBGTQ+ clients is a pre-requisite for working with me. If you are more cognitively oriented, you should seek supervision with someone who is expert in CBT. If you are interested in combining cognitive therapies with somatic (and possibly depth) modalities, then you may be a good fit for supervision with me. Clinical supervision is of course required for licensure, and a great opportunity to more deeply understand cases, theory, and practice through interaction and consultation with colleagues. I have completed my LCSW supervision training through NASW-IL, as well as the training Decolonizing Clinical Supervision with Dr. Jessica ChenFeng and Dr. Dana Stone. Working with me clinicians can build skills in:
